I'VE SEEN YOUR FACE BEFORE
Conceptual Performance Installation
Wires, like vines, sprawl across the floor, they climb up the wall as they twist and turn forming a complex web, in the center of the room, a single figure, illuminated by the white light radiating off the screens behind him, the screens give off an ominous glow, as the figure opens its mouth. “I’ve seen your face before.” The figure mutters, it then moves ever so slightly, while reciting dense words, put in a way that seem familiar, but hardly makes sense, these words speak of revolution, of love, of anxieties, of games, of gods, of masterpieces, and of various subjects. Various frames holding transparent sheets hang from the ceiling, as you move behind them, the space changes, the once white screens now have images on them, fragments of movies, music videos reframed and cut. This is an altar to information.
I WRITE WITH MY HANDS, BUT MY MIND STAYS BLANK
A second person VR experience.
Look at you. Literally, look at yourself. Look at what you are. Look at your body. Talk to me. Now look at you. Look at that. Then, seriously, look at yourself. Now look at me, I'm talking to you. Literally, look at yourself.
